A New Approach to Recovery and Empowerment
Laurie Mitchell Employment Center enters Spring continuing and improving our new program called “W.R.A.P.@LMEC.org.” Our own team of certified W.R.A.P.® facilitators makes W.R.A.P.® classes available to area residents free of charge. Continuing the innovative approach of LMEC, classes will include traditional W.R.A.P.® and, W.R.A.P.® for Employment: a program for people who want to apply their W.R.A.P.® to planning, seeking or holding a job while maintaining their health and wellness.
Because class size is kept small and the demand for W.R.A.P.® training is high, the application period begins four weeks before the first class and can remain open only while seating is available. To apply for enrollment online, follow the link below. You may call 703-461-3886 or email us at wrap@lmec.org
Enrollment is now open for W.R.A.P.® for Employment
New class begins Tuesday, July 27th at 6:30 PM.

LMEC provides a comfortable, safe, stigma-free environment for all our activities and that includes WRAP@LMEC.org. We meet in our private class room free from interruptions and distractions. Participants receive all class resource materials free of charge. Our facilitators are trained in and follow the Values and Ethics of WRAP® as developed by Mary Ellen Copeland and The Copeland Center for Wellness and Recovery.
Classes meet weekly for 8-10 weeks at 6:30 P.M. in our center at 6295 Edsall Road, Suite 175, Alexandria, VA 22312. Transportation is provided to and from the Van Dorn Metro station free of charge.
